Sponsorship terms
1. Permanent takeover model
Your sponsorship remains active until another sponsor successfully takes over this object. Previous sponsorship payments are not refunded after a valid takeover.
2. Payment and ownership
Ownership starts only after OwnTheCity receives and verifies a successful Stripe webhook. The checkout success screen is informational and does not confer ownership. All displayed minimum prices are recalculated by the server at checkout.
3. Concurrent checkouts
Multiple sponsors may attempt the same object. The first valid higher payment that finalizes under the locked inventory record wins. A later payment that no longer clears the minimum is refunded in full and marked as a stale takeover.
4. Brand content
You must have the right to use your name, website, tagline, and logo. OwnTheCity may hide malicious, unlawful, or misleading branding and block a domain without deleting the underlying financial record.
5. Platform inventory
OwnTheCity owns and operates every city object. A sponsorship is a platform advertising placement, not real estate, equity, a security, a secondary-market asset, or an ownership interest in the platform.
